President's Message

It is a special honour and a privilege given to me as a President of SALEM PRODUCTIVITY COUNCIL which indeed a great opportunity  for me to join hands with Industries, Institutions and all well -wishers to serve Industrial & Trade Society aligning with the objectives of the Salem Productivity Council.

The current coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) lockdown has substantially disrupted the operations of these MSMEs due to their dependence on the cash-economy that is severely hit by the lockdown, the physical non-availability of workers, and restrictions in the availability of raw materials and transport infrastructure.

In this scenario, I wish to convey my sincere appreciation to all entrepreneurs for their co-operation and support extended to the Government by abiding the rules and regulations to restrict the COVID-19 pandemic.

Both the Central and State Government has taken plenty of measures to curb this situation and has devised short-term & Long-term strategies for the sustainability of the MSMEs and has announced several Reliefs for MSME Sector in particular.

I believe, we, the proud contributors of Indian Economy will overcome this tougher situation and will strengthen further for the development of self and the nation.

The Salem Productivity Council has been bestowing all possible efforts render services to the Entrepreneurs & Employees to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of MSMEs.

As such, the Salem Productivity council is regularly conducting various awareness programmes and training programmes for the diverse sectors of micro, small and medium enterprises in order to upgrade the skill-set and to propagate the various schemes and concepts of Central and State Governments’ MSME department.

Also, I am pleased to announce that the Salem Productivity Council is proudly stepping into Academia activities, a yet-another service to the society by entering an MoU with the Periyar University – Salem, under the University Industry Collaborative Programme (UICP) with a vision to impart skill-oriented education and training.
